Sooo, epic failure on posting for this first Sunday! Oh well. I was kind of embarrassed, because I still haven't finished reading "The Odyssey". I did, however, complete "The Iliad"! That was fun - I had to read 200 pages a day,(give or take) and got it done in 4 days! Yay! Then the plan was to read the Odyssey in 3 days, but No. Didn't happen. Grrr.
But I am enjoying it when I do read it :)
As for "The Iliad", I was confused for the first half of the book, then I read a little bit of a child-version, and I comprehended a lot more! *chortle chortle*. There was a LOT of battling, blood, gore, deception, other activities, etc. Yeah. But I liked Hector. He was cool. Saddest ending to a book ever though! I was like "That's the end?!?! They haven't even fought the whole battle yet!" Apparently the end is in another book-the Aeneid, I think.
Now I'm reading "The Odyssey", and liking it immensely. So far. I'm about a third into it. I've been distracted, looking up historical people, for some reason. ;)
Today we're going to take pictures of my dance costumes!!! Yay!!! If only the sun was shining, then I could take some outside! But that wouldn't work anyway...so never mind. :D
