I think I want to make a giant calendar to hang on my wall, and I can make lists on it and check things off. I like checking things off of lists, but I never have a good system for making lists. I use my small book-form calendar for school stuff, so there's not really room for anything else, and this forms a mental block by making me think that, since there isn't any more room on the page, that I can't do anything else! Which is not true. I just need a bigger page to make lists. Enter wall calendar. Big enough to cover that wall space that I've been wanting to decorate, spaces and lines for daily lists, pen or pencil always handy for checking off accomplishments, etc. Also, it would be looming over my bed, so I would wake up to the list telling me what I had to do during the day; I would go to sleep thinking of what was on the list; the list would take over my life and I would try my best to obey what I put of the list. (And I need to write my lists in ink, because otherwise I am tempted to just erase the things that I didn't get done...sneaky, I know :))
So now that I have worked through that thought...I think I have an art project! (oh, the months since I have done an art project...woe is me, no wonder I've been semi-depressed! No art for months??!?!)
I'm all excited, because my sister was just helping me arrange my book list for my senior year - starting in June. I'm going to try to work through the book "Invitation to the Classics".

Wow. Okay, so there are a LOT of books in this, and obviously I can't read all of them in 1 year. So Trudi was helping me to eliminate the obvious "don't need to read" ones, making the list much shorter and more do-able. I am SO excited! So when I start this reading challenge (and for me, it will definitely be a challenge to read 55 classics) I will definitely be blogging about it! My hope is to read about 1 selection a week, but what with some books being really fat, and others being short stories, this will, of course, vary.
Another reason to be super excited: Since most of these books are really hard to find in libraries and are probably a bit expensive to buy, I get to have a Kindle!!! (Pretty much all of the books are available for FREE on Kindle! So that's extremely handy). YAY!
So now I have 2 months (or less) to read some fun stuff that I've been wanting to read before I devote myself to this course of serious study. Ha! I feel so old-fashioned saying that! Sweet!!! Now to decide what to read first...
Oh. Problem. I am supposed to be very busy during the month of April, so tons of reading is not likely to occur. Sad. But I can read little bits now and then, right? Of course right. :D

I'm glad I could be helpful! Oh, and I just want to say that I'm a little jealous that you are at a point where you are going to be reading all of these books for the first time. :) I remember my senior year as being one of the most educational and inspiring times of my life. Can't wait to hear how you like all of this reading!
