There really isn't a specific topic...

Hi there :) I haven't posted in a while...I always forget. Sorry! But it's not like I have anything super interesting to say lately, so I feel incredibly boring.

Well, I guess I could talk about my new obsession with vintage/40's-50's-60's clothing and stuff...(or is that called retro???) Because that's new...and I also discovered that I'm not unique in this obsession, because HEY! Guess what? This style is IN my friend, and I'm in love.

Soo, I don't actually have any clothing like this. Yet. But I am SO going to in the near future! Let's get specific (I have to be reminded to be clear and stuff, cuz I have a habit of talking randomly around a subject, all hypothetical and such, and never actually clue people in to what I'm trying to say...so yeah. Sorry if I get really really really confusing sometimes.)

The dresses. Are beautiful. (as an understatement.)

I fully intend to make...at least one...for myself.  :)

Even though I have a habit of saying I'll make things and then never actually making them...

Well, sometimes I make them...

It's just been a while.

But I have a lot of fabric in the cupboard, and it is screaming at me to be let out and used!!! Actually, I am currently in the middle of re-modeling or whatchamacallit a beautiful dress right now - it's sort of a Regency era style, I think. (Except not really, because I'm not super um...specific.. about how dresses were actually made/sewn historically. It just has that appearance...I think.) I'm hoping to finish it soon, and then I'll have to post pictures!! It's actually almost done - I just need to make sleeves. That is literally the only thing. And who's been putting it off for like..a week? Me. Yup. Lame.

What exactly have I been doing??? I've actually been quite proud of my accomplishments this week:
~I finished reading "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens!!!
~I worked out (kick-boxed) 3 times!!!
~I went to dance all 4 nights!!! (we'd been on break for 2 weeks, so it was about time we got back to it! And we started Recital Dances!!! YAY!!!)
~I learned the first third of my Senior Solo Dance. So.Freaking.Excited!!!!!!!!!
~Last night I finally got to let my family watch 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. While the changes they made to the story make me long to go and read the book again to comfort myself, I still say it's an excellent movie...it's just...missing some of my favorite parts...and has added some unnecessary deviations in my opinion...but...still - Amazing movie!!! (I would just recommend reading the book to get the real story ;) )

And those are just the highlights - I also got back to doing my regular school work, practiced music a lot, it snowed for the first time in over a month, and..OH! Did I mention that I get to be in a Shakespeare play this summer? Yeah, that's definitely a new development in my life. And guess.what. !!!

We are doing my favorite comedy!!! (of the ones I've read anyway - and even so I'll always claim it as my favorite, I think...)

*drum roll*

'Twelfth Night'!!!!!!!!!

There was a happy dance on Thursday when I found out...and screaming. But all in moderation, of course.

And so my crazy life continues...

"Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit." ~Shakespeare (Twelfth Night)
