Having a Quiet Day...

Today I decided to make up for a few weeks worth of neglect in my Home Ec. class - aka Cooking and Sewing. :)

First, I helped Mom make lunch - a bit more elaborate than most days, but quite fun.

Main Course = Carrot Soup!!! Served with a dab of Sour Cream, Peprika, and a sprig of Parsley.

I also made some whole-wheat, mostly nutritious muffins with sugar sprinkled on top. Yum!!!
After lunch, I worked all afternoon (actually 2 hours) on finishing the sleeves and other little details on that dress I've been working on. (Actually, the dress has been waiting for me to work on it..)And today I finished it!!! I still have to take pictures of it, but that'll be another post by itself so I can explain the details a bit more.

And finally, I just made meatloaf. Now, I am not a huge fan of mushing up raw meat, eggs, and other ingredients together with my bare hand, but I did it! Nearly froze my hand off, but these are small things we put up with for the greater good. Now it's cooking away, and I'm hoping it will be done in time for me to eat some before I head off for my 2 1/2 hour dance class - I will need sustenance!!!
